THE STREETS
The streets of Miami are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. That has been my experience every time I venture out with a camera. Exciting, unpredictable, and filled with remarkable people, the streets reveal the character that has earned Miami its nickname, “The Magic City.”
For me, street photography is about the unexpected. It is about slowing down long enough to notice the moments that most people pass by: a fleeting expression, a chance encounter, the rhythm of a crowded sidewalk, or the way light and shadow transform an ordinary corner into something extraordinary.
Miami is a city of contrasts, old and new, elegance and grit, solitude and celebration. Strip away the color, and another Miami begins to emerge. In black and white, distractions fall away, leaving behind shape, texture, emotion, light, and shadow.
These photographs are my collection of those fleeting encounters the unscripted moments and characters that make the streets of Miami endlessly fascinating. There is no staging, no second take, and no guarantee of what comes next. You simply have to be there, camera in hand, ready for whatever the streets reveal.
